The advertising rights were previously held by Clear Channel Independent who, together with other applicants, tendered for the rights but were unsuccessful. The rights have been granted for both indoor and outdoor sites that will be constructed by Alliance Media.

Alliance Media is the continent's largest airport advertising concession holder, controlling more airports than any other organisation, and Alliance Media Uganda is well known as the country's largest outdoor adverting company. Mike Craft, Regional Director of Alliance Media stated, “Our strong reputation in Uganda and the East African region stood us in good stead to cement this contract.”

The newly refurbished Entebbe airport boasts world class standards which include glass walkways that connect directly from the terminal building to the aircrafts, as well as high end catering, retail and business facilities.

Over the past year, and as a result of Uganda's growing economy, the Entebbe airport has seen a huge increase in passenger numbers through the increase in additional flights and additional airlines.

Alliance Media has a host of excellent advertising opportunities within the airport, and due to the facilities being of such high standards, advertisers are now jockeying to own sites in this aspirational and busy location.
