Mark Pilgrim in hospital after heart attack

BREAKING NEWS: 94.7 Highveld Stereo and 94.5 Kfm presenter Mark Pilgrim was admitted to hospital following a sudden heart attack. In a statement released by 94.7, station manager Ravi Naidoo said, “Mark is being treated for an obstructed coronary artery and will be in hospital for the rest of the week.”

Pilgram was also recently been appointed as the host of M-Net's new game show Power of 10, which is currently in production.

M-Net Head of Original Productions, Carl Fischer, says M-Net and production company Rapid Blue are saddened by Mark's sudden heart attack and are waiting to hear from him and his doctors before making any decisions about the way the production will proceed.

“We wish Mark and his family all the best during this time,” says Fischer.

Update 16 July 11am: According to Primedia Broadcasting, he is in recovery and is doing much better this morning. He will be in hospital until the end of the week.
