MPowerFM have partnered with Vodacom Mpumalanga in a regional search to discover new talent for Mpumalanga's own commercial radio station. The winner of The MPowerFM Vodacom Mpumalanga Jock Search will win a contract with MPowerFM and kick off their career as a presenter on the exciting new Radio station.
The auditions start this weekend at the Highveld Mall in Witbank, where eager young hopefuls will be recording their auditions in the hope of winning a spot on air. From Witbank the panel of judges head to Nelspruit where the auditions will continue on the 19th of July at the Riverside Mall with the last leg of auditions on the 26th of July at the Graceland Casino in Secunda.
The panel of judges include: MPowerFM's Program Manager - David Watts, the stations popular Morning Drive host - Mio Khondleka and Vodacom Mpumalanga's Marketing Manager - Lwandile Booi. Five finalists will be selected from each of the three audition days.
Listeners will have the opportunity over the next three weeks to sms and vote for their favourite wannabe jocks each morning as they show of their skills live on the Morning Drive. Each of the finalists will win Vodacom hampers and on the 8th of August the grand winner and hot new jock for MPowerFM will be announced. VIP guests will enjoy a breakfast ceremony at the MPowerFM studios in Nelspruit to welcome the new voice to MPowerFM.
