Joburg chart show syndicated to Cape Town

Joburg's 94.7 Highveld Stereo has syndicated its music chart show, the Take 40 SA, to 94.5 Kfm in Cape Town. Mark Pilgrim now hosts the show simulcast across the two stations.

“Take 40 SA has been running successfully on 94.7 Highveld Stereo for three years and is one of the most prominent properties on the station,” explains 94.7 Highveld Stereo station manager, Ravi Naidoo.

“Cape Town listeners have an apparent hunger for current music and with the growing popularity of chart shows at the moment, we thought it fitting to syndicate the existing Take 40 SA on 94.7 to 94.5 Kfm in Cape Town. Both stations are known for music variety, which the show aptly reflects.”

The independent chart show runs from 10am to 2pm every Saturday and features 40 of the biggest, current radio hits. Listeners vote for the songs at www.take40sa.co.za and in so doing either move them up, down or even off the chart.
