The first in ten years, MPowerFM was awarded a commercial broadcasting licence by ICASA in June this year.

Bondo started his career in radio broadcasting 12 years ago and in 1998 joined YFM as a weekend jock. He soon became known as Big Black to many of his listeners as he moved up the ranks at YFM and was appointed Programming Manager in 2005.
