Primedia Broadcasting integrates marketing operations

Dex de Bruin, former marketing manager for 94.7 Highveld Stereo and Talk Radio 702, has been promoted to group marketing manager, Primedia Broadcasting announced yesterday, Monday, 19 February 2007. In addition to the two Johannesburg-based stations, de Bruin will now also be responsible for Cape-based stations, 567 Cape Talk and 94.5 Kfm.

“I’m very excited about the new position and challenge,” says de Bruin. “It follows on from the massive integration that began in 2003 within Primedia Broadcasting, where various teams in the Johannesburg and Cape Town offices - including news and sales- were merged to form one, streamlined unit, working across the four brands. This is an extension of that integration and sees all marketing operations for the four stations falling under one person.”

De Bruin joined Primedia Broadcasting in 1995, working on Talk Radio 702 as an events co-ordinator and then later, project co-ordinator. He took over the reigns as marketing manager for 94.7 Highveld Stereo in 1998, adding Talk Radio 702 to his portfolio in 2003 when the Johannesburg operations merged. He held this post, as marketing manager for the two stations, until his appointment now as group marketing manager.
