Jack Parow has a good marketing scheme in releasing his limited-edition EP in the form of a tasty “cold and dripping” ice cream flash drive with a collection of 10 tracks and six videos. He seems to be firmly cementing his cult status. You know you're doing something right when the general public are proclaiming and updating their facebook status' as “jy dink jy's cooler as ekke“ and quoting lines from the song.

And why is he so popular? Well I think a lot has to do with the unique factor; there really is no one quite like
Meneer Parow around at the moment. Combining uniquely local, dirty and dangerous lyrics
in sy eie taal and with his tongue firmly stuck in his cheek and a very calculated marketing approach, not to mention some cool colabs with Francois van Coke and Die Heuwels Fantasties, Parow is well on his way to becoming the favoured
partytjie man of the season.
The EP contains 10 tracks, including a clean version of
Cooler as Ekke and Die Heuwels Fantasties collaboration
Die Vraagstuk. Though the only problem with this is that it effectively makes the EP only eight tracks long and, after a couple of spins (that each seem to short) you are left wanting more
roomys asseblief. Noteworthy tracks include
Brackenfell Boys Choir featuring Rufio Vegas and
Dans Dans Dans featuring Francois van Coke which is a
kief liedjie that makes me want to
fokken fokken dans.
Jack Parow
is cooler as almal! Kwaai.
