Bronwyn Roberts, Speaker Coach and Bureau Owner of Speakers Inc. has announced that her annual workshop for professional and aspiring speakers will take place on Saturday morning, May 10th 2008 at the Melrose Arch Hotel in Johannesburg.
Once again aimed at anybody who would like to know more about how to get on to the lucrative corporate speaking circuit, but doesn't know who to ask what, how, why and where, the workshop this year is entitled “Insider Secrets of the Professional Speaking Circuit".
Bronwyn brings more than a decade of experience as an agent to the classroom and last year's workshop was such a success that Speakers Inc has had more people than ever contact them to find out about this workshop, and the others which she presents.
"I am really committed to the growth of this industry, but I simply can't spend all the time I would like to with each and every candidate speaker. This way, they get all their questions answered at once; I'm there for Q & A afterwards; and if they still want to spend more time with me they can arrange one-on-one sessions,” she says.

Roberts spent two years on the Board of the National Speakers Association of South Africa, helping them set up the Association and get it off the ground.
"I learnt SO much in that first year from the international speakers who came out here and shared their expertise with other NSA members. I was privileged to meet and work with some truly remarkable people and they really reinforced my desire to do everything I can to help this industry grow with ethics and honour.
“Sadly, of late, there has been a bit of agent-bashing coming from a handful of senior speakers in the country, which is such a pity, because there are agents among us who behave with honour and integrity, despite the 'bad press' we've been receiving. Of course, as in any industry, we have our bad apples, but this is another reason I run this workshop - to share with people who are new to the circuit what you can and cannot expect from an agent. Perhaps if some of those 'negative ninny's' came to a workshop of ours, their skewed perceptions might just be realigned a little bit, but I am fairly sure their enormous egos would prevent them from sitting in a room full of people who acknowledge that they have things to learn!
