The Core Group, who are the distributors of Apple iPod, have commissioned Kreate SA to run a national campaign for The Core Group, which will result in an ultimate all-expenses paid trip of a lifetime for two to the UK's top music festival, ‘T-in the Park' in Scotland.
The winners will get to witness some of the world's hottest bands like Kaiser Chiefs, The Verve, REM, Counting Crows, Chemical Brothers and Prodigy, to name a few.
Kreate were given the opportunity to run a ‘National Campaign' during the month of March at 40 stores throughout the country. National Account Managers were flown in from different regions and Apple did a full training session on the different types of Apple iPods and the background behind them in Johannesburg.
The mechanics of the activations were to place promoters in and around the various stores, these promoters were to encourage people to purchase an iPod and by doing so they will be eligible to enter the competition online or via SMS. The Kreate promoters were also required to promote the iPod Touch to help increase the sales and create more awareness around it. Kreate had placed Quality Assurance Managers (QUAM) around the various stores to make sure that the activations were as successful as possible, these QUAM's put together detailed reports along with photo's taken for feedback to the client.
The Core Group were extremely pleased with the way the activations were run, the professionalism of the promotion staff and the results that they had received. As a result, Kreate was awarded the opportunity to continue doing all the activations for the ‘T in the Park' campaign. These activations will take place at numerous stores throughout the country and has provided Kreate a great opportunity to work with one of the fastest selling brands of today.
