Legit Clothing's Dare magazine joins forces with sister Jet Club to target youth market
Issued by: The Publishing Partnership

Youth fashion retailer Legit has teamed up with sister company Jet Stores to target the lucrative youth fashion market.

Legit's quarterly publication, Dare magazine, which was launched less than a year ago, is a sexy youth title that's distributed directly to 50,000 Jet Club account holders in the 18 - 23 age group who have shopped at Legit stores four or more times in a 12-month period. An additional 13,000 copies are distributed in Legit stores nationwide.

Says Tammy Gardner, publisher of Legit, “By utilising Jet's extensive database, Dare is able to better analyse and directly target the frequent Legit shopper, offering these loyal customers relevant information and tips on fashion, relationships, money and technology. Dare is proud to understand its readers, their pressures and aspirations, and provide relevant content that speaks their language and drives their achievements and success.

“At the same time we can offer advertisers a previously untapped market of up-and-coming, savvy, young account holders between the ages of 18 and 23 who are mostly pursuing a tertiary education.”

Dare's Winter 2008 issue, which is about to land in the hands of 63,000 youth readers, features a cover feature on Channel O presenter, Nonhle Thema, and a focus on Women's Day which salutes the South African women who fought for women's rights 50 years ago. Regulars include a real life story, Tips from the Top, You & Your Money, Sex & Stuff, Entertainment and a Life Guide.

Dare magazine is published by leading Cape-based publishing company, The Publishing Partnership. For all advertising queries, please contact Leigh O'Kennedy at 021 488 5925 or email leigh@tppsa.co.za.
