Vanessa Raphaely takes AdMag Editor of the Year

This year's AdMag Awards, held yesterday, Wednesday, 9 April 2008, saw Vanessa Raphaely walk away with the prestigious Editor of the Year title for Cosmopolitan magazine. The publication also won Best International Title of the Year. ADvantage magazine's editor-in-chief John Farquhar named New Media Publishing as Publisher of the Year for its consistent excellence, while Newcomer of the Year went to Psychologies magazine.

Says Charlene Beukes, publisher for Media24 Special Interest Women's Magazines Division, “We are delighted with Psychologies' first award! We're 100% focused on creating a product that delivers on our promise to both readers and advertisers, and believe this is a sign of great things to come.”

Woolworths Taste was named South African Magazine of the Year.

The Best Advert in ADvantage, a relatively new award initiated by Farquhar, saw Video Lab taking top honours.

  • Woolworths Taste – Gold (Custom Publishing)
