New fashion editor for Sarie

Amaria Carstens is the new fashion editor of Sarie, with effect from 1 November 2006. Carstens brings with her an abundance of knowledge and experience gained in the fashion and media industries, and a fine eye for design and colour.

Carstens' rise in the industry is testament to her talent, having worked for FairLady, Elle, Sarie Bruid and Shop! during the past five years as fashion stylist, fashion assistant and fashion editor. She has diplomas in interior decorating and design, and fashion design.

Commenting on her appointment, Carstens says she aims to provide Sarie readers with fresh ideas on fashion and style, as she believes fashion should be inspirational as well as accessible.
