The Touchmart Tap enables the user to book a movie ticket at the push of a button. The Transaction Access Point (Tap) - which has been developed by Touchmart - is aimed at the many South Africans who have been excluded from convenient access to online transacting due to lack of internet facilities or a credit card which is required for online purchases.

Taps are located in convenient and accessible sites countrywide from supermarkets to civic centres, and enable consumers to transact using their debit cards and potentially cash as well. Great care has been taken to develop a multilingual, easy-to-understand and easy-to-use screen that overcomes the requirement for computer and internet surfing skills.

The Ster-Kinekor Tap project launched actively on Monday 30 June 2008.
