RedCube Agency creates awareness for free Mother's Day Concert, hosted by NPO - the Tomorrow Trust
Issued by: RedCube Agency

Mother's Day is a time to celebrate women, and in particular mothers who dedicate their lives to cherishing, guiding and nurturing their children.

Non-profit organisation, the Tomorrow Trust, which runs and finances school support programmes and post-secondary education for orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV/Aids, believes that Mother's Day is a time to celebrate the legacy of mothers, and their importance in the world.

In order to honour this significant day, the Tomorrow Trust in conjunction with the Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton City, will be hosting a free Mother's Day Concert on Sunday the 11th of May 2008 from 15h00 to celebrate the legacy of mothers.

Leading brand PR agency, RedCube Agency, has taken on the Tomorrow Trust on a pro bono basis and is extending a working hand in creating awareness about the concert, which will feature some of South Africa's leading entertainers and recording artists. Concert goers can look forward to enjoying powerful performances by Vicky Sampson, Gift Gwe, Garth Taylor, the Gang of Instrumentals, and a special performance by Loyiso Bala and his mother Veronica. To top this exciting musical bill off, Sam Cowen of Highveld Stereo fame will keep mom entertained as the Mistress of Ceremonies.

The Tomorrow Trust will be selling their book “A Mother's Legacy” at the concert to raise funds in support of their work. “A Mother's Legacy” is a magnificent photographic journal compiled by Kim Feinberg, Founder and CEO of the Tomorrow Trust, who will be enjoying the concert along with other moms and her two teenage children.

“A Mother's Legacy” illustrates the stories of mothers infected with HIV/Aids and the message they wish to give their children and the world at large. This book has been created to raise awareness around HIV/Aids and the stigma that surrounds it. “We believe that in using this publication, as well as the Mother's Day Concert as a platform, we can create a unique celebration for mothers and their children while simultaneously raising funds for the Tomorrow Trust,” states Feinberg, “This concert will be a celebration of the women and in particular the mothers of our country, for all they do in supporting the growth of South Africa, whether it is in rearing children or the qualities they themselves bring to our society.”
