Loeries calls for PR entries

The Loerie Awards is calling for submissions from public relations agencies to be recognised for excellence in brand communication. Although there is no specific PR category, PR agencies are invited to submit work in which they have executed an aspect of a brand promotion campaign in an original way.

For example, a PR agency that carried out a direct mail campaign could enter their work in the Direct and Promotional Print category. Likewise, a PR agency that handled a creative invitation for a client would be entered into Communication Design, or a through-the-line campaign could go into the Integrated Campaign category.

“As PR agencies are active in brand promotion, we feel it makes sense for the Loeries to recognise their work as well,” says The Loerie Awards MD Andrew Human. “Likewise, since the Loeries are associated with excellence in brand communication, a win at the Awards will bring recognition and industry stature to the PR agency.”

The entry deadline is Friday, 16 May 2008. Entries can be submitted online at www.theloerieawards.co.za, where you'll also find entry guidelines, category descriptions, and preparation instructions.
