International fashion lands on Foschini's new shores

Due to customer requests, Foschini has opened in Cape Town's V&A Waterfront. The new flagship, which launched on 15 November, features a fresh international fashion line and marketing campaign – encouraging all women to unleash their inner style star.

The in-house design team aimed to create an environment which retains the Foschini essence, while further complementing the special location and merchandise selected for a discerning customer. The result is a fusion of the latest international design trends interpreted in a truly South African way.

The store offers a range of Foschini smart-casual wear, Instinct leisure wear, News jeans, World Wide Wear high fashion, and Oasis smart wear. Rounding these off are shoes, handbags accessories, costume jewellery and top international branded fashion watches, a comprehensive cosmetics store and cellular products – all laid out to provide easy identification and customer flow.

In keeping with Foschini's star style offering, this store brings with it the launch of Lipsy, a world-renowned designer brand, worn and loved by international stars. The range is fun and sexy, and enhances the wardrobes of celebrities like Kate Moss, Jordan, Kate Middleton, Lilly Allen, to name a few. Lipsy, which will be available at V&A Waterfront and Sandton stores, is all about this season's must-haves, fulfilling every girl's day and night couture needs.

A wide range of materials, finishes and design elements are aesthetically tasteful delights. Imported porcelains, mosaics and wallpapers, rich natural and weathered timbers, and raw plaster cement live happily together with pure polar whites, finely engineered polished chrome, large gilt-framed mirrors, sparkling lights, black crystal chandeliers and handmade red glass from Latin America – to mention a few. Sections of ceiling are mirrored to create a sense of height, while specially imported mannequins and interior displays bring in the “theatre”.

Strategically located at the focal end of an active arcade, the sweeping curve of the shop-front opens up entirely for the store to offer itself generously, while the interior becomes a window in its own right.
