Shake Interactive acquires share of Mybeat InteractiveIssued by: Shake Interactive
Shake Interactive, the Cape Town-based digital marketing agency, has announced that it has acquired equity in Mybeat Interactive, the Johannesburg-based mobile marketing agency. Shake acquired the 40% stake from HBD Venture Capital, Mark Shuttleworth's venture capital firm. Mybeat specialises in mobile interactive platforms and mobile media creation. The company rose to fame in 2003 when it launched an innovative mobile media service in conjunction with 5FM that allowed listeners to find out what song is playing on the radio from a mobile phone.
Shake and Mybeat have collaborated on a number of projects since 2006. Today's deal means that Shake clients gain further access to Mybeat's proprietary mobile messaging software, mobile campaign experience and mobile marketing expertise. The move extends Shake's existing mobile offering for agencies and clients, which includes some exciting developments in the mobile search space.
Shake currently provides integrated digital marketing campaigns for customers around the world, including Media 24, Associated Northcliffe Digital, Pigg's Peak casino, Hewlett-Packard, Sasol, Nissan UK, Jaguar UK and Land Rover UK.
