In support of the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) Blood Donor Mon, ChilliBush Inroads held a blood donation drive for all staff at their offices in Forest Town.

Blood Donor Month supports World Blood Donor Day, which is an international initiative and held annually on June 14. June is also historically the month when the SANBS experiences its most critical shortages due to schools not being available to hold blood donor clinics. During this time many regular donors also suffer from cold and flu and cannot donate blood.

“We wanted to show our support for this critical initiative as an office and so encouraged all members of staff to donate blood. Blood donation is a very sensitive issue, and is unfortunately surrounded by a number of myths and misconceptions. We wanted to send a message that it is essential that all South Africans roll up their sleeves and donate safe blood to the SANBS,” commented Jackie Du Rand, MD of ChilliBush Inroads.
