The 2007 Gunn Report, which is the only global independent report on creativity for the advertising industry, places Lowe Bull 45th in the world creativity rankings. The agency was also ranked the second best performing agency in the Lowe Worldwide group although they were top ranked in the group at Cannes, One Show and Clios.
In addition, the print campaign for AXE was the 10th most awarded press campaign of the year.
The Gunn report combines the winner's lists from all the major advertising award shows in the world – national, regional and global – to establish the annual worldwide league tables. It is the most detailed and comprehensive listing of creative achievements across the advertising industry.
Lowe Bull chairman Matthew Bull comments: “For any South African agency to make the top 50 is a pretty good achievement considering the rankings are weighed heavily against us as, unlike all the others in the league, we have no significant regional award to add to our points. We're obviously pleased to be in the top 50, but even more pleased with a top ten ranking for our work. That, ultimately, is the most important gauge of our success."
