Succeed Magazine empowers entrepreneurs in South Africa
Issued by: Succeed

Succeed, without doubt the largest entrepreneurial magazine and the third largest business and finance magazine in South Africa, continues to play a crucial role in the education and empowerment of entrepreneurs in South Africa and beyond. It is only the two leading financial magazines that can boast a larger paid-for, audited circulation than Succeed.

Backed by the most recently published ABC audited figures, Succeed Magazine continues to take the lead as South Africa's most widely read entrepreneurial magazine, reflecting a total circulation figure of 21 077.

Wessel and Miriam Ebersohn, the editor and publisher of Succeed, and their Succeed Team, are driven by their passion to educate entrepreneurs and provide them with the tools required to run a successful business and build wealth. Their belief is that the future of South Africa's economy is largely dependant on the growth and success of entrepreneurs. It is this belief and passion that inspired them to start Succeed 14 years ago. Succeed is now widely regarded as an essential business read for business owners, managers in the corporate sector and all aspirant business owners and managers.

In addition to its retail distribution and business subscriber base, Succeed is also distributed to non-profit organisations, which do business training and mentoring, and various highly regarded training institutions throughout South Africa, many of whom use Succeed as a training tool for their students. Mr. Henry Africa, the programme manager for Matie Community Service's Division for Entrepreneurial Development at Stellenbosch University wrote in a letter, "We offer entrepreneurship programmes to many budding and existing entrepreneurs, mostly from previously disadvantaged communities in rural areas. We find your material extremely useful and relevant and we eagerly await the arrival of the new batch of Succeed Magazines every month." He also provided the photograph of the students with their magazines, which appears in their annual report.

Research carried out by C-search amongst Succeed readers, has found that 19% of the readers have started their own businesses as a direct result of reading Succeed Magazine. Such findings are confirmation that Succeed is a key role-player in the birth, growth and success of entrepreneurs in South Africa.

Succeed's success can also be attributed to its culture of teamwork and relationship-building. Recently they have forged a strategic partnership alliance with Luther Diederichs of SA Business Hub and Brian Walsh of www.Entrepreneur.co.za, who have joined forces and are in the process of merging their websites, to become South Africa's largest entrepreneurial portal, offering entrepreneurs access to numerous services, training workshops and seminars. Brian said, “We chose to partner with Succeed as our media partner because we believe in team players, there is a synergy between us which is fuelled by our passion to develop entrepreneurship in South Africa. We are excited to welcome Succeed as our official media partner.”

What differentiates Succeed from its competitors is its ability to sincerely walk the talk and truly make a difference. For this reason Succeed will continue to grow from strength to strength as we celebrate the birth of true entrepreneurship in South Africa.
