JSE-listed KAP International Holdings Ltd and global affordable housing finance group International Housing Solutions (IHS) are two of several companies to have recently appointed mid-sized consultancy Lange Strategic Communications to handle their public relations.

KAP International Holdings Ltd is a JSE-listed investment holding company of diverse manufacturing businesses, including automotive and leather products and components, footwear, specialty fibres, towelling products and fresh and processed meat. It controls assets valued at R1.8 billion and has an annual turnover of approximately R3.0 billion. KAP International’s head office is located in Paarl, and its operations are situated in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth, East London, Ladysmith and Krugersdorp.

IHS, meanwhile, is a joint venture between MuniMae of the US, one of the world’s largest sponsors of affordable housing investments, and top Irish property group Howard Eurocape. Newly established in South Africa, IHS brings extensive experience in the area of housing finance to the country. Apart from committing its own capital, it is also helping to attract much-needed international investment to fund the construction of both rental and for-sale affordable housing communities.
