LAGOS: Gateway Communications Nigeria, headquartered in Lagos, late last week announced a contract with Cambridge Broadband Networks to create a point to multipoint broadband wireless network in Nigeria. Gateway will use Cambridge Broadband's VectaStar II platform to provision 130 hubs and 5000 terminal stations to deliver broadband connections across Nigeria. 
NIGERIA: Gateway Communications has announced the acquisition of a 10.5Ghz spectrum licence for 10 states in Nigeria. The states are Kano, Kaduna, Rivers, Delta, Abuja, Edo, Oyo, Anambra, Abia and Enugu. 
LAGOS: Flying Dove, a distributor of Sony consumer electronics products in Nigeria commissioned on 26 June 2009 two new Sony Showrooms in Lagos. They are located at the Palms Shopping Mall and at Victoria Island. 
LONDON: Gateway Communications, a supplier of telecommunications services across Africa, on Tuesday, 16 June 2009 won the award for Wireless Network Infrastructure Innovation in partnership with vendor, Cambridge Broadband Networks at the 2009 GTB Innovation Awards held in London. 
BarCamp Nigeria 2009 will be held at Tom Associates Training Centre and Conference Hall in Lagos, Nigeria on 25 April 2009.
